Our 3D Secure debit card service provides peace of mind for online shoppers at participating merchant websites. It is an authentication system designed to confirm the identity of the cardholder when a Visa® Debit Card is used online in suspicious or unusual circumstances (for example, if you’re shopping online while traveling).
A One Time Password (OTP) allows customers to confirm whether the online transaction is legitimate. This password will be sent to your mobile phone.
1. Receive a challenge asking for a code
A pop-up is sent after you make an Online Purchase that asks for a OTP.
2. Receive OTP
OTP is sent via SMS to your registered phone number.
3. Enter the code.
Please enter OTP and ensure transaction reference on OTP screen is matched with SMS (Do not share OTP to anyone else).

Is an OTP required for all online purchases?
No. The password is required only at merchant websites that support 3D Secure (3DS) authentication protocols. Entering the password provides extra security for online transactions.
A transaction originating with a 3D Secure merchant passes through a risk-assessment process. If the authorization is considered a higher risk or out of normal activity, a code will be generated to validate the purchase.
